Puzzle · 1 player

How to play

In the master’s workshop, hundreds of ivory tiles wait in layered stacks shaped like garden gates and palace domes. Pick two free tiles with the same picture and watch them meet in the air and fly away. Every deal can be solved, and hints, shuffles and undo are always at hand. Twenty-four levels across four regions, a fresh daily puzzle every day and a streak to keep alive.

  1. 1Tap two tiles with the same picture: if both are free, they match and leave the board.
  2. 2A free tile has nothing on top of it and an open left or right side. Free tiles are bright; the others are shaded.
  3. 3Flowers match any flower and seasons match any season, even with different pictures.
  4. 4Quick matches in a row build a chain and multiply your score. Finish within the target time without shuffling for three stars.
  5. 5Stuck? Take a hint, shuffle the remaining tiles or undo your last move.

About Tile Pairs

Tile Pairs is a calm puzzle of attention in which you clear layered ivory tiles from the board two at a time. Each level brings a new arrangement: the journey begins with small shapes such as the Sapling and the Tulip and passes through the Garden, Bazaar, Palace and Summit regions on its way to crowded stacks like the Dome, the Throne and the Fortress. There are twenty-four layouts across four regions, each a little deeper than the last.

The real thinking lies in deciding which pair to take and when. Most pictures appear on four tiles, and removing two of them in the wrong order can leave the remaining pair trapped on top of each other. Flower tiles and season tiles match within their own sets even when the pictures differ, a flexibility that often saves a tricky board.

It suits players who like to take their time, yet the target time and chain bonus give speed lovers something to chase. In the daily puzzle everyone solves the same board and every solved day extends your streak, while thirteen achievements provide longer goals.

Strategy and tips

  • Open the highest layers and the ends of long rows first; tiles in the middle only become free as the edges are cleared.
  • When three tiles of the same picture are visible, choose which two to take carefully: prefer the one that is locking other tiles and save the other for later.
  • Two identical tiles stacked on top of each other can never free one another, so plan to clear another copy of that picture early.
  • A chain keeps growing as long as roughly four seconds do not pass between matches, up to five times. Spot the free pairs first, then take them quickly in a row.
  • Shuffling rules out three stars; when you get stuck, undoing and trying a different pair is often the better choice.
  • Watch the possible matches counter on the panel; if it drops to two or three, slow down and weigh the remaining options before every move.

Frequently asked questions

Can every board be solved?
Yes. Deals are built to be solvable. If you get stuck, it comes from an earlier choice, and you can undo to try another route.
What do I need for three stars?
Finish within the target time without shuffling. The target time is shown on the panel at the start of every level.
Is an unfinished board saved?
Yes. The continue option in the menu shows the level name and how many tiles remain.
Which tiles cannot be taken?
Tiles that have another tile on top, or that are blocked on both the left and the right, appear shaded and cannot be selected.
