Waiting for your server to boot, gathering friends for a session, or just taking a short break? We have added a new section to help pass the time: Games. You can reach it from the site menu, and it currently holds 40 free browser games.
What is in there?
We did not want a single genre, so the list covers quite a few moods:
- Puzzle: calm but surprisingly addictive games such as number merging, matching and card games.
- Strategy: tower defense, card battles and classic board games played against the computer.
- Action: reflex-driven platformers and survival games, including a robot arena with a full career to work through, league by league.
- Racing and sports: fast games built around short rounds.
Some games also let you face a friend on the same screen, taking turns on one keyboard or each holding a separate controller.
How do I play?
- No account needed: you do not have to sign up or log in. Pick a game and start playing.
- Nothing to download: everything runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install.
- Phone or computer: use the keyboard on a computer and touch controls on a phone. A few games play better with the phone turned sideways, and the game page will tell you when that is the case.
- Controller support: if you have a gamepad connected to your computer, many of the games can be played with it. Each game page lists its controller buttons.
Every game has its own page with a short how-to-play section, the keyboard and touch controls, and a few tips for getting started.
Where is my progress saved?
Your high scores, unlocked levels and career progress are stored only in the browser you are using. The upside is that we never ask for any account details. The thing to keep in mind is that your progress does not follow you to another device or browser, and clearing the site data in your browser removes it as well.
Does this affect my servers?
Not at all. The Games section is a separate part of the site. Your Minecraft servers, worlds, settings and wallet are completely unaffected, and you do not need to open the panel to play.
We add new games to the list from time to time and keep tuning the existing ones based on feedback. If you get stuck, spot a bug or have an idea, just write to us through the support channel. Have fun!
