Land Grab

Land Grab

Leave your turf, draw a trail, loop back home and claim everything inside: paint the biggest territory on the map.

Action · 1 player

How to play

You start with a tiny patch of land. Head out leaving a trail behind you, and the moment you return home, everything inside your loop becomes yours in one sweep. But careful: while you are outside, anyone who touches your trail knocks you out. Cut off cunning bots, paint the map in your color, earn gold and unlock new colors, costumes and sparkling trails.

  1. 1Steer with the arrow keys or by swiping; your piece never stops moving.
  2. 2Leave your territory, draw a loop and come back to your own land: everything inside the loop is yours.
  3. 3Outside, your trail is vulnerable; if a rival touches it or you cross your own trail, you are out.
  4. 4Cut a rival's trail to knock them out and free up their land.
  5. 5In Classic the biggest territory wins when time runs out; in Race the first to reach the target wins. Spend gold on new colors and don't miss the daily task.

About Land Grab

Land Grab is a fast territory battle on a 64 by 64 grid. Your pawn never stops moving; all you choose is the direction. Every trip outside your safe land is a small gamble: the bigger the loop, the bigger the reward, yet each moment spent outside leaves your trail exposed to rivals.

The bots sharing the map each have a temperament: Cautious, Greedy, Hunter, Wanderer, Sneaky and Steady. Some grow slowly with small bites, others love chasing your trail. In Classic mode the widest territory after two and a half minutes wins, while in Race mode the first to cover half the map ends the round. A daily mission sets a new goal every day, with everyone playing at the same difficulty.

Short rounds make it a perfect fit for a quick break, but beating the bots on Hard takes real focus. Gold earned in play lets you dress up your pawn with ten colours, five costumes and four trail styles, and some of them unlock only through achievements.

Strategy and tips

  • Grow your land with short, narrow loops in the first seconds; a bigger territory means a safe return point is closer in every direction.
  • If you spot a rival heading your way while you are outside, abandon the loop and take the shortest path home; a small gain beats being knocked out.
  • Plan your way back before you leave. Hitting your own trail also eliminates you, so pick a return route that never crosses the line you just drew.
  • Long rival trails are an opportunity: touching one knocks that rival out and frees their land, which you can then claim with ease.
  • In Race mode use the edges of the map; a loop drawn along the border shuts off one side and leaves fewer directions for rivals to approach from.
  • When the last ten seconds warning appears, finish your loop quickly, because a trail that is still open when time runs out does not count.
  • On Easy you respawn after being eliminated, so use that level to experiment with big loops and learn how far you can push.

Frequently asked questions

How many rivals are there?
Four bots on Easy, five on Normal and six on Hard. Gold earned on Hard is multiplied by one and a half.
What is gold for?
It only exists inside the game and unlocks new colours, costumes and trails. Daily missions and achievements give extra gold.
How do I steer on a phone?
Swipe anywhere on the screen in the direction you want to go; there are no buttons to press while moving.
What happens in a head-on collision?
A head-on crash counts as an elimination, so turning away is the safest choice when two pawns are about to meet.
