Archer Duel

Archer Duel

Hit the archer on the far hill despite the wind, gravity and their shield: your turn, draw the bow!

Fighting · 1-2 players

How to play

Two archers, two hills, one arrow per turn. Pull the bow back, set angle and power, read the wind and let go. An arrow into the shield is wasted, an arrow to the head is a critical hit. Beat eight named rivals from the forest to the castle to the snowy valley; unlock fire, triple and heavy arrows and earn new bows. Friend nearby? Duel in turns on the same device.

  1. 1Press the screen and pull your finger or mouse back, away from the target: the further you pull, the stronger the shot.
  2. 2Let go and the arrow flies. The flag at the top shows wind direction and strength; on your first shot a dashed line shows the path, after that use your last arrow's trail to correct.
  3. 3The standing shield in front of each archer stops flat shots: lob the arrow onto the body or the head. Head hits are critical.
  4. 4Pick a special arrow with the buttons at the bottom: fire arrows burn, triple arrows fan out, heavy arrows shrug off the wind and break shields.
  5. 5Bring the rival's health to zero. You earn one to three stars based on the health you have left, and a new daily duel waits every day.

About Archer Duel

Archer Duel is a turn-based aiming game where patience and observation matter more than a quick trigger finger. Two archers stand on opposite hills and each fires a single arrow on their turn. How far the bow is drawn, the launch angle and that turn's wind all combine to decide where the arrow lands. Nobody hurries you, but a misread gust hands your opponent one more turn.

Each rival has a personality of their own. The ladder starts with Doğan the novice and continues through Ilgaz the forester, Bora the wall guard, Selvi the deer hunter, Tunç the master of flaming arrows, Ayaz the snow eagle and Yağmur the silent marksman before ending with Kaan the bow master. Duels take place in a forest, a castle and a snowy valley. Beating the first rival unlocks fire arrows, the second unlocks triple arrows and the fourth unlocks heavy arrows; in every duel you carry two fire, two triple and one heavy arrow.

It suits players who like a feeling of physics and enjoy making a small correction after every shot to see what changes. Six bows, thirteen achievements, a daily duel that changes each day and a two-player mode on one device keep things lively after the ladder is done.

Strategy and tips

  • Use your first arrow's trail as a ruler. If it fell short, raise the power before touching the angle; if it flew too far, lower it. Changing only one value at a time makes corrections much easier.
  • When the flag shows a strong wind, shoot a bit harder into it and a bit softer with it. Heavy arrows are noticeably less affected by wind, which makes them the most reliable choice in rough weather.
  • A flat shot is wasted while your rival has a shield in front of them. Either loop a high arc over the shield onto the body or smash the shield outright with a heavy arrow.
  • A fire arrow keeps burning its target for several turns, so firing it early in a duel yields more total damage than saving it for the end.
  • Each part of a triple arrow does half the damage of a normal one, but the fan spread improves your chances at long range when you have not quite found the distance yet.
  • Headshots are critical and drain health quickly. Once your angle and power are dialled in, nudging the aim slightly higher to try for the head often shortens the duel.
  • Winning without losing any health and scoring with the very first arrow are separate achievements. Revisiting easier rivals to earn them also helps unlock new bows.

Frequently asked questions

How many rivals are there, and when does it end?
The archers' ladder has eight rivals. Beating Kaan completes it, while the daily duel and the two-player mode remain available afterwards.
Can I play with a friend?
Yes. Two archers can share one device: the duel alternates, each player drawing and releasing the bow on your own turn.
How do I unlock new bows?
Every bow is tied to a goal, such as defeating particular archers, reaching a total number of achievements or landing enough critical hits. Equip unlocked bows from the locker.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Defeated rivals, stars, unlocked arrows and bows, achievements and your daily score are kept in this browser.
