How to play
The stadium is packed and the stands are holding their breath. Draw your shot with a swipe: you choose the direction, the power and the curl. When it is the other side's turn, pull on the gloves and dive for the right corner. Quick matches, a cup tournament, a same-device duel with a friend and a fresh daily challenge are waiting.
- 1When it is your kick, touch the ball and swipe towards the goal. A long, fast swipe means a hard shot; a curved swipe puts curl on the ball.
- 2A green target ring means the ball is heading inside the goal; red means wide or over the bar.
- 3In goal, touch a corner or swipe that way the moment the ball is struck; dive too early and the shooter will see you.
- 4If it is level after five kicks, sudden death begins: the first to miss loses.
- 5In the tournament, get out of your group and win the quarter-final, semi-final and final; wins, achievements and daily challenges unlock new kits and balls.

Touch screen
To shoot, touch the ball and swipe towards the goal; a curved swipe adds curl. In goal, touch a corner of the goal or swipe that way as the shooter strikes.
Controller
On a controller the left stick or d-pad aims, LT and RT add left or right spin, and holding then releasing A charges power and strikes. In goal the stick dives towards a corner, A keeps you in the middle, and Start pauses the match.

About Penalty Kick
Penalty Kick lets you play both sides of football's most nerve-racking moment. First you stand over the ball and draw your shot; then you pull on the gloves and try to stop the other side's attempt. Each match opens with five kicks per team, and if the score is still level it moves to sudden death, one kick each, until someone misses. A quick match takes only a few minutes, yet the final kick still gets the pulse going.
The spin you put on the ball bends its flight for real, so a curling swipe can wrap the ball inside the post or carry it away from a diving keeper. When you are in goal, time slows slightly while the ball travels, and that slow-motion help is strongest on easy. On hard the ball arrives quicker and the window to react shrinks.
Tournament mode splits sixteen teams into groups of four. Get out of your group and a quarter-final, semi-final and final follow. The strength of each opponent and the stage you have reached set the difficulty, so a weak group rival is a gentle start while the final is a proper test. The two-player duel on one device is the fastest way to take turns as shooter and keeper with a friend on the sofa.
Strategy and tips
- Keepers tend to start near the middle, so a low shot close to a corner is safer than a hard strike straight down the centre.
- Use spin in moderation: a gentle bend slips past the gloves, while too much curl turns the target ring red and sends the ball wide.
- Glance at the target ring before you release. If it is not green, ease off the power or pull your aim back inside the frame.
- In goal, never commit before the shooter's boot meets the ball. An early dive shows which side you picked and the shot goes the other way.
- High corners call for a diagonal dive. Holding two arrow keys together covers far more of the goal than a keeper who only drops low.
- Treat group games seriously in a tournament; every win secures your place in the table and builds momentum before the stronger knockout opponents arrive.
- The daily challenge may ask for curled goals, saves or a clean-sheet win. Read it before kick-off and shape your plan around it.
Frequently asked questions
- When does a match end?
- Each side takes five kicks. If one team falls too far behind to catch up with its remaining kicks, it ends early; a draw moves to sudden death, decided when one side scores and the other misses in the same round.
- What does difficulty change?
- Easy, normal and hard alter how accurate the opponent is and how much the ball slows down while you are in goal. In the tournament, difficulty is chosen automatically from the opponent's strength and the current stage.
- Can I play against a friend?
- Yes, there is a two-player mode on the same device where you swap between shooter and keeper. It is not online; you both share one screen.
- What if I leave a tournament halfway?
- Tournament progress is written to your browser's local storage, so you can close the page and pick up from the same round later.
