A griefing, a broken plugin or a wrong command can ruin your world in an instant. The good news: with proper backups you roll back in seconds. ArcadeServers offers three layers of protection.

1) Manual backup

Take a one-click snapshot anytime from the panel's Backups tab. Taking a manual backup before a big change (new plugin, world edit) is a good habit. Without File Protection, up to 2 manual backups are kept.

2) Daily automatic backup (File Protection)

With the File Protection add-on enabled, the system takes an automatic backup every day the server is running; it keeps the last 7 and prunes older ones. So you can easily return to the moment when 'everything was fine yesterday'.

3) Incremental cloud backup

For File Protection subscribers, the system takes an incremental (only-changed) cloud backup every 15 minutes. This drops the data-loss window (RPO) to about 15 minutes — in a crash you lose at most the last 15 minutes.

Restore

Pick a snapshot in the Backups tab and hit Restore. The system swaps the current state safely; it takes a few seconds. Backups are stored independently of the server — even if you delete the server you can still download them.

Good practices

  • Take a manual backup before big changes.
  • If you run a permanent server, keep File Protection on.
  • When switching software (Paper→Fabric) the old profile is backed up automatically; use this safety net.

Data loss is often not irreversible — it's just one backup away.
